How do I cite a scholarly journal article from a library database using APA citation style?

Answer

APA 7th ed. Citations for Scholarly Journal Articles from a Library Database paired with parenthetical citations.

  • Generally, library databases are no longer included in the reference citation.
  • Always include the DOI, if provided, but do not include date retrieved, or the URL.
  • Articles with three to twenty authors should include all the authors in the reference list citation.
