Can students borrow books from the library?

Answer

Yes, books may be borrowed from the the Brighton Campus Library and the Downtown Learning Commons. Click here for hours of operation.


1. Search our catalog to see if a book is available in print or digital format. E-books may be read online.


2. After locating books on your topic, print, take a screenshot or write down the call number. Books are located by their call number. What is a call number?  A call number is the book's shelf address and is assigned based on its subject matter.

Brighton Campus Library

  • Leisure reading and graphic novels are located on the 2nd floor
  • Call numbers starting with the letters A - P are located on the 3rd Floor
  • Call numbers starting with the letters Q - Z are located on the 4th Floor

Downtown Campus Learning Commons

  • All materials can be found on the 4th Floor.

3. Visit the Service Desk to check out your materials with your MCC ID card.
