How do I find an article in the library by DOI or PMID?

Is there a way to retrieve a paper held in the library's collection by its Digital Object Identifier or PubMed Unique Identifier?

Answer

If you have the DOI or the PMID of an article, you can check to see if the library owns it by going to the library's main page, library.rpi.edu, and clicking on "DOI Lookup" under the main search bar.

Alternatively, you can use this URL: https://libkey.io/libraries/570

If RPI Libraries owns the article, you will get an instant PDF, or a menu with a full text link. If RPI Libraries does not own the article, you will be presented with an interlibrary loan (ILL) service option on the menu screen. The ILL article request form should automatically populate for you and we will try to obtain the article for you from another library.
