What is UpToDate? How can I access this database?

UpToDate is a database from which students can "get clinical answers at the point of care with evidence-based clinical decision support". UpToDate is known for it's timely review and assessments of the latest clinical information in the medical field.
To access UpToDate on your device (laptop, phone, tablet) use the instructions below. A full PDF version of the instructional document is available by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.
1. Access the Library Home Page and click on the “Database List” within the “Research & Study” section.
2. Then scroll down the alphabetically ordered listed to find “UpToDate”.
3. Using your DCC Username and Password (ezproxy), gain access to the Library’s Electronic Databases remotely:
When you gain access to UpToDate the first time, you'll need to register for the database itself using your ID again:
Once you've completed this process, look for an email to confirm your registration -- be sure to check your Clutter or Junk folders:
Periodically, UpToDate will require that you reverify your registration through DCC:
