Where are things located in the Library?

The Lewis Library is spread among the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of D building. All three floors are connected by elevator and stairs, and all three floors contain public seating options.

The 2nd floor contains:

  • The Circulation Desk, where you can check out books and course reserves
  • The Reference Desk, where you can ask a librarian for help with research.
  • Public computers
  • Displays of new books & media, and often themed displays too
  • Public restroom
  • Tools such as scanners, 3-hole punches, staplers, pencil sharpeners
  • Phone charging station
  • Water fountain
  • The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) where you can get tutoring

The 3rd floor contains:

  • Books with call numbers beginning A-H
  • Reference books (whose call numbers start with REF)
  • CD and audiobook collections
  • Microfilm
  • The Library's classroom, D303
  • Study rooms
  • Public restroom

The 4th floor contains:

  • Books with call numbers beginning I-Z
  • DVDs
  • Study rooms
  • A drafting table
  • A fitdesk (desk workstation on a stationary bike)
  • Water fountain
